Application for Grant: Organisations

The St Georges Market Shop fund is available to individuals and organisations for social, educational, personal and health related needs. Funds are for specific projects, not every day running costs. It does not grant funds for needs or expenses that are currently met by formal agencies and services.

Catchment area

Individuals who live on, or organisations which are located on the North Shore may apply. This area is from Devonport to Whangaparaoa.

The Fund Distribution Committee meets twice a year to consider applications for funds. Meetings usually take place in May and November.

Applications from organisations need to include:

  • Amount requested – detailed breakdown
  • A description of what the money will be used for

The most recent statement of financial performance of the organisation (Profit, Loss & Balance sheet) and current source/s of funding for the organisation.

If funds are granted by the Committee the organisation to which the money is granted need to provide evidence confirming the money has been used for the purpose for which it was requested. This is required no later than FOUR months after the funds have been paid.
