The church has a market shop located in Jutland Road, Takapuna which was started in 1967 as a means of raising funds to complete the church buildings. In the following 10 years the sum of $70,000 had been provided for this.
Now the profits from this market shop are used to fund areas of need in the local community. Organisations as diverse as Police Blue Light camps, Women's Refuge, Alzheimers Foundation, alcohol and drug casualties and many other notable causes have been assisted.
The funds are distributed by the Market Shop Distribution Committee. Applications can be made by anyone in the local community. Guidelines for applications from individuals and from organisations can be downloaded from this page. The Committee meets half-yearly.
