Celebrating Communion

Communion is regularly celebrated at St George's on the 2nd Sundays of March, June, September and December and also on Easter Sunday. There may be other occasional Sundays throughout the year when Communion is also served and shared. At St George’s we have an “open table” policy were all are welcome to take part in our communion with Christ. We believe that we are able to commune at Christ's table, not because of our own faithfulness to the ways of God, but because of God’s great love and faithfulness which is extended to each of us.

We would love to celebrate your wedding with you. If you are interested in holding your wedding ceremony at St George's we have a booklet available to help you plan. The service will be conducted by our minister. On certain occasions an alternative ordained minister may officiate, but this is only after discussion and approval by our minister. For any wedding bookings please notify our Parish Administrator in the first instance.

At St George's we celebrate that Jesus welcomed children to be in his company and honoured them as a visible sign of God's loving grace in our midst. If you would like to have your child baptised or if you have come to faith in adulthood and wish to be baptised, we would be delighted to offer you baptism. Baptism into the Church takes place during our 10am service of Sunday worship. Please come and discuss this with our minister.

At St George's we recognise the importance of ceremonially farewelling our loved ones and committing them into God’s care. Our minister will create a personalised service with you in which you may express your grief and gratitude for the life of one you have known and loved. There is a well appointed kitchen and hall where refreshments may be served. For any funeral enquiry please contact the minister in the first instance. Once Rev Sylvia has visited with you to discuss your wishes, the arrangements for booking the facility and costs will be made with the Parish Administrator.
